S.A. Clark's past careers as a NASA engineer, aerospace executive, and decorated Vietnam combat pilot --augmented by advanced novel courses at the Summer Iowa Writers Workshop-- have all contributed to the realism of his SF.
He was a nationally syndicated columnist for 19 years and had two hard-cover books ("Beating the Odds" and "Unleashing the Hidden Power") published by AMACOM Books in New York, with "Beating the Odds" chosen as one of the best business books of the year.
Now, S.A. Clark has transitioned from writing non-fiction to writing science fiction, which has always been his passion.
His recent sci-fi endeavors consist of several short stories and "The Guarding," a book-length SF manuscript, the first volume of a trilogy. All of his sci-fi stories have a recurring sense of place, being set in the present-day United States. Clark's ancillary market is mainstream SF Monthlies and/or SF television and movies.
