Aside from management stints at aerospace businesses, NASA, and the military as a combat pilot (as well as taking advanced novel courses at the Summer Iowa Writers Workshop), S.A. Clark was a nationally-syndicated columnist for 19 years.
His unique columns won numerous awards for originality, voice, and content. He also wrote
two hard-cover books (“Beating the Odds” and “Unleashing the Hidden Power”) which were published by AMACOM Books in New York. “Beating the Odds” was chosen as one of the best business books of the year.
As the 21st Century dawned, S.A. Clark retired from writing non-fiction and turned exclusively
to science fiction, which has always been his passion. His past careers as a NASA engineer, aerospace executive, and decorated Vietnam combat pilot have all contributed to the realism of his SF.
His recent sci fi endeavors consist of several short stories and “The Guarding,” a book-length SF manuscript intended to be released in a series of monthly episodes. He is currently drafting the second volume. All of his sci fi stories have a recurring sense of place; they are set in the present-day United States. Clark's primary market is mainstream SF Monthlies and/or SF television.
